If you look at the picture, you see Krista and her father walking across the river. You might think "why do that when you have a perfectly good 4WD?". Well, Fred wanted a video of the drive across so suggested we walk across and then tape him. Krista knew we were in crocodile country, so she asked Fred, the person who had read all the books about the area, if there were crocodiles in the river. He swore there weren't. So across the river Krista and her father walked, and across the river Fred and Krista's mother drove, and the mandatory video was taken. Shortly afterwards, we stopped at a cattle station and mentioned to the locals that we had been in the Pentecost River, and they said "are you crazy?! There are crocodiles in that water!!".
