This was in the Bungle Bungle National Park (or, Purnululu, as the aboriginals call it). The sandstone domes have elevations as high as 578 metres above sea level, and are famous for the unusual striping in alternating orange and grey bands. These domes, although huge, are also remote. We traveled 53kms down a very rough road. So rough that it took us 2 hours and 20 minutes to drive in.
